Sugar Free Spicy BBQ Sauce

1 clove garlic, crushed
1 small onion, minced fine
1/4 cup butter or oil
3 - 4 TBLSP Splenda
2 tsps. dark molasses
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. Colmans dry mustard
1 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1 1/2 cups water
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1 TBLSP Worcestershire sauce
1 TBLSP horseradish
1 TBLSP liquid smoke
(or substitute a good smoky bacon chopped, cooked and crumbled )
6 ounce can tomato paste

In a saucepan, cook the onion and garlic in the butter or oil for a few minutes.
Stir in all the dry ingredients,
then stir in everything else but the tomato paste and the liquid smoke.
Let it simmer for about 15 - 20 minutes.
Then whisk in the tomato paste and liquid smoke
and let it simmer another 5 - 10 minutes.
Store in a jar in the refrigerator.

This makes about 2 2/3 cups of sauce,
or about 21 one ounce (2 TBLSP) servings,
at about 2.5 grams of usable carb apiece.
