spaghetti squash is a wonderful and versatile vegetable to replace potatoes, rice and pasta in your life.
Here's the cooking directions.

Spaghetti Squash
- This unique squash separates into spaghetti-like strands when cooked.
Use in place of pasta with your favorite spaghetti sauce.
"Orangetti" variety tastes just like Spaghetti Squash,
only with orange colored flesh.

Selection:
Choose firm, heavy squash with undamaged shell.

Storage:
Store at room temperature for 1 week.
After cutting, wrap in plastic and refrigerate up to 2 days.
[actually it keeps for up to a week after it is cut.

Uses & Preparation:
A low calorie base for almost any topping.
Mild, nutlike flavor, crisp texture.
Leftover cooked squash can be refrigerated and reheated for later use.

Cooking Instructions:
Microwave:
Cut squash in half lengthwise; remove seeds.
Place squash cut sides up in a microwave dish with 1/4 cup water.
Cover with plastic wrap and cook on high for 10 to 12 minutes,
depending on size of squash.
Add more cooking time if necessary.
Let stand covered, for 5 minutes.
With fork "comb" out the strands.

I eat it: with salt and butter on it;
with chili on it (without beans of course);
cook it partially in the microwave and then fry it in the frying pan
(like shredded potatoes and delicious).
You're only limited by your imagination.
